Review #1,715: 22 Savage "Nothing 2 Live 4"

Reviewed on 4.26.2017 (Review #1,715)

As I keep these reviewz goin’, here’s anotha one I got from my boy, Way 3000: Travis James Entertainment’s 22 Savage, who formerly was known as Mighty Mike, Nothing 2 Live 4; can’t wait to hear, lol! Start Time: 5:23 PM | End Time: 6:05 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “Ain’t No 21”
Produced by Lil’ Lody & Drum Dummie; iz this “Jumpin’”? >>> Sounds like an exciting intro, here… Almost sounds like “Jumpin’” with tha “This ain’t 21, bitch, this 22” line… Either way, definitely a dope hook and beat, ya dig? Hearin’ tha 1st verse and you’re really pullin’ through wit tha heat, here!! Definitely gotta luv it! I fucks wit all them out dat TJE click; shout out to Korey! Hope to meet all tha rest of y’all soon! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice, here; good shit! Definitely some pure shit! Tha name don’t matter, ya dig? At least it ain’t no “22-Dollar Savage”, like, some bullshit referencin’ money, ya know? My Rating: 4.7

02. “Hit That 22”
Here we continue, wit Elvin Presley on tha beat (E.P.)! >>> Sounds like an anthemic beat; definitely nice! Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice; just love when you rap! Hearin’ tha hook and it’s pretty dope, here; definitely nice! You luv your numbers, ya dig? You’re always locked into that “this ain’t 21, bitch, this 22” line… I have to say, it don’t annoy me… It goes with “(281) 330-8004” (Mike Jones!!), lol… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice; definitely dope wit what you bring to tha table, here! My Rating: 4.4

03. “Pay 4 It”
Arkade Stvtion on tha beat, here… >>> A slower beat, here, soundin’ pretty nice… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s dope… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and, yes, I have to admit, this sounds like a 21 Savage-paced track, ya dig? I do like it a lot, tho… I have an outfit that reminds me of 21 Savage, so that’s what’s up… Good job wit how you comin’ through wit this 21 flow, ya dig? Keepin’ it movin’ on tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice, here; definitely feelin’ ya all day, every day!! My Rating: 4.3

04. “Tired”
Drum Dummie doin’ this track… >>> Instant start, here? What was up wit tha first five seconds? Weird, but okay… Hearin’ tha beat and it’s soundin’ dope; luv tha fastness! I’ono about feelin’ “tired;” Kevin Gates said it best: “I don’t get tired!” Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice, here; luv that you consistently spittin’ tha rhymes, here! Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ dope and consistent, ya dig? As far as tha hook and gettin’ “weak,” well, I hope my consistency neva dies! Been supportin’ Louisiana fa 10 years and now, it feels like it’s just tha beginning, ya dig?! My Rating: 4.5

05. “Somebody”
Anotha Drum Dummie track! >>> Almost thought I was gon be unsure about this one in tha beginning but it ain’t bad wit this unknown singer on tha hook, here… Also, tha beat ain’t bad, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and why it sound like a different dude? I’ono…; it aight… I’ono, I don’t hear tha true 22 voice on tha 2nd verse, here, so I’m just gonna try and look like I’m interested, here… My Rating: 3.1

06. “Real Envy”
Likin’ tha title, here, produced by NickEBeats! >>> Okay, I think tha excitement for this CD’s over… Why this auto-tuned bullshit gotta fuck-up my excitement and good feelings fa this CD? Just listenin’ to a lil’ bit of this… My Rating: 1.2

07. “Rain”
Drum Dummie beat… >>> Kinda has tha same vibe as tha previous song… I ain’t fuckin’ wit it; next! My Rating: 1.7

½time: Really felt tha first four tracks on this CD, as tha CD rating was at a nice, 4.5. However, #’s 5 – 7 sound like bullshit mainstream music that be out, smh… At tha moment, only a 3.4-rated CD…

08. “Around”
Drum Dummie beat… >>> Damn, anotha one of these weird-soundin’ tracks… It’s like, what voice iz this? I like this a lil’ betta, tho; decent hook… Hearin’ tha verse and it’s whateva; next…! And, only one verse, here; okay… My Rating: 2.8

09. “Relationships”
Trey Flamez on tha beat… >>> What’s with these instant starts? And, why this 3:55 on tha length? Smh, I should take points off tha rating fa tha stupid, instant starts! Hearin’ tha hook and it’s kinda catchy but nothin’ special… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s ehh… I’ont get why you have so many different voices… You only have two names: Mighty Mike & 22 Savage; that’s it! My Rating: 2.6

10. “Dear X”
Euro on tha track… >>> Anotha long one wit a stupid, instant intro… Seein’ tha “X” in tha title reminds me of tha 21 Savage track… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and your voice sounds a lil’ betta, here, as well as this soundin’ like a 21 Savage track, with this flow/beat… And, tha 2nd verse’s pretty nice wit what you’re comin’ with… My Rating: 3.3

11. “Rock & Roll”
Common Cause beat… >>> Hate these instant starts!! I’ono, that was a weird way of blendin’ in tha beginning, here… It’s almost like they tried to make me think it wasn’t an instant start that rewound itself back! Hearin’ tha hook and it’s decent… I know this sounds like mainstream-type shit but I’m kinda feelin’ it, a lil’… Hearin’ tha verse and it’s kinda random; ladies, here ya go… I’ono, I thought there was gon be a 2nd verse but it just sounds like this track’s takin’ its time… My Rating: 3.0

12. “Jumpin’”
Here we go!!!!! Cosa Nostra Beats! Prolly coulda put this up earlier in tha CD with tha more-normal-soundin’ songs than just in tha middle of nowhere, here… This tha 1st track I heard from you when you turned into 22 Savage… Just feelin’ tha vibe of this and how you completely transformed into 22 Savage, ya dig? Good beat and nice job wit how you hold down tha 1st verse! Tha hook’s dope, too; just luv all these random rhymes you be spittin’, here! It’s literally like you took every single drug out there; crazy! Luv when you say, “I got shrooms;” dope shit, ya feel me? Nice job wit this 2nd verse, of course! My Current Rating: 4.6

13. “Other Side”
CB Beats, here… >>> Okay, we’re back to tha bullshit-soundin’ music, here… An okay hook; what’s next? Tha verse’s ehh; I don’t need to comment… Oh, only one verse? Okay; filler track, here… My Rating: 2.1

14. “Airplane Mode”
TA Carlito beat… >>> I hate when artists want to be “left alone.” Just sounds like a random song wit bullshit lyrics; next! Ugh! That outro makes me think of one rapper from Baton Rouge, who constantly ignorin’ me, right now! They act so fake on Instagram, where they can just randomly go online, read/ignore messages & write whoever they wanna write back, smh! Then again, I helped this dude out and they ignorin’ me! “When you put your phone on airplane mode, that mean, you busy; you don’t wanna be bothered…,” smh! Such bullshit! My Rating: 1.4

15. “Worry”
Galassia Beats, here… >>> Just sounds like a regular, mainstream track; nothin’ special, here… My Rating: 1.5

Overall: Ain’t go tha way I wanted it to go… Tha first four tracks & “Jumpin’” were tha only tracks that mattered! They weren’t just 4.0’s; they were above that! They were dope! Tha rest? Trash!!
