Review #1,703: Multiple Felons "Behind Da Line"

Reviewed on 4.21.2017 (Review #1,703)

Let’s keep these reviewz goin’… Here comes Multiple Felons Behind Da Line, released in 1998 on Powerline Records! Tracks 2, 3, 6, 9 & 10 were produced by Ozone… Start Time: 2:12 AM | End Time: 2:59 AM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> “ iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> “ iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me, have auto-tune in your vocals, or talk about nothin’ but money and hoes (which I consider ‘typical’ topics), I’m not buyin’ it!

01. “Down South Funk”
>>> Good vibe, here; feelin’ tha not-so-plain, undaground vibe in tha beat, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice wit what y’all bringin’ to tha table, here… Hearin’ tha hook and it’s nice ta hear, too; let’s keep it movin’… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice, too; good shit… Tha 3rd verse iz nice, here… I’m feelin’ tha consistent rhymes goin’ on, here; unstoppable!! It sounds like it’s delivered in a calm way but it’s pretty tight/unstoppable! My Rating: 4.3

02. “Death Around The Corner”
>>> I’m diggin’ this vibe, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice, ova this quiet, undaground beat… Tha hook’s pretty gutta, here, as far as this “death around tha corner” content… Before my Louisiana trip, I was more tripped out about shit. Now, I’m just livin’ tha celeb life! Tha rest of this iz pretty nice ta hear; good shit… My Rating: 4.1

03. “Mama Told Me”
>>> Sounds like good motivation in tha beginning from tha “mama,” here. Yeah, I’m glad I made it through school and got my Master’s Degree… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice, here… Tha hook iz self-explanatory, here; decent… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s good wit how y’all continuin’ ta stay motivated… I’ono if it was my edibles high from yesterday, but this sounds trippy ta hear this, now… I’m just thinkin’ ‘bout how I used to be in school and now, who woulda thought I’d be out fa fuckin’ tha past five years! Shit’s crazy! Tha 3rd verse’s pretty nice, here; good shit… My Rating: 4.0

04. “Where My Thugs At”
>>> Sounds good, here… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and y’all keepin’ this movin’, as if it was y’all’s jungle! Tha hook ain’t bad and tha beat’s decent/upbeat, too… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 2nd verse, here, soundin’ nice… As long as it’s nice and upbeat like this, you can’t complain, ya dig? My Rating: 4.0

05. “Mic Check”
>>> Nice intro goin’ on here… Beat sounds a lil’ betta than “Where My Thugs At” and tha 1st verse’s pretty nice fa N’awlinz’ undaground… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s nice, too; good shit… Definitely feelin’ these consistent rhymes! My Rating: 4.2

½time: I’m ratin’ this a 4.1, at tha moment; we’ll see how it continues… I love y’all production and how y’all come through as an undaground, upbeat group from tha hood/for tha hood, here!

06. “World On My Shoulders”
>>> Keepin’ these upbeat vibes goin’; definitely lovin’ this ‘Juve-soundin’ production,’ as I’ll call it… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice, here… Tha hook’s pretty nice, as y’all continuin’ ta hold tha “world” down as much as y’all can… It’s almost like me with my Louisiana experience; gotta build it up!! Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty nice, too, wit what y’all bringin’, here… Keepin’ it movin’ wit tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ nice, too; good shit… My Rating: 3.8

07. “Gz 4 Life”
>>> More on tha eerie side, here, as far as tha vibe goes… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice wit this slower vibe and how y’all deliverin’ this “undaground” shit! “Undaground iz where I’m found;” all day, every day, no matter what age!! Hearin’ tha hook and it’s true about keepin’ tha “G” life movin’… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it’s pretty chill on this delivery, compared to tha previous tracks… And, we got tha 3rd verse, here, soundin’ nice, too… My Rating: 3.7

08. “Fuck The Laws”
>>> Sounds like a nice lil’ vibe, here, fa a regular-soundin’ track… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s pretty nice… Tha hook’s pretty nice wit duckin’-n-dodgin’ them 12’z, here; good shit… Hearin’ tha 2nd verse and it sounds nice ta hear, too, as y’all keepin’ it movin’… Good shit throughout tha rest of this, too, as y’all just deliver ta hold shit down… My Rating: 3.7

09. “P.L. Boys”
>>> Sounds like a slow, laidback vibe but a lil’ faster in tha beat… Hearin’ tha 1st verse and it’s decent… Long-ass 1st verse that went all tha way till 2:13… A quick intermission to tha hook, here, soundin’ decent, still… Now, we got tha 2nd verse, here, livin’ tha undaground life and “warzone,” here… A shorter verse on tha 2nd one, here; I see… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and y’all keepin’ this decent shit goin’… My Rating: 3.5

10. “Behind The Line”
>>> A female kickin’ thangz off, here; hmm… Kinda long like tha last song, still soundin’ decent… After tha female, tha 2nd verse sounds a lil’ betta, here… Tha beat has a lil’ more of an upbeat and somewhat-eerie vibe but I’ono, I just connect wit it in a decent way… Hearin’ tha 3rd verse and it’s pretty nice, here… As tha rappin’ continues, it’s still soundin’ betta than average fa me… Tha final verse sounds like it’s tha best outta tha whole track; consistent rhymin’ at its finest! My Rating: 3.6

Overall: I thought this was a pretty-good CD, here; y’all did nice… I was feelin’ tha ‘Juve-soundin’ production’ during tha beginning of this CD; good shit…
